The CV tool on Research.fi enables the creation of a CV that follows the TENK template, as well as an up-to-date list of publications, directly from a researcher’s own profile data.
The Research.fi profile tool has been expanded with a CV feature that utilizes the TENK CV template. With this tool, researchers can download a CV formatted according to the template, along with an up-to-date publication list, based on the information in their Research.fi profile.
The CV tool generates the CV as a Word document, which can be easily edited and used as such, for example in funding applications and evaluations. Using the CV tool requires creating a profile on Research.fi: https://research.fi/en/mydata
More than 1,500 researchers and experts working in Finland have already created a profile on Research.fi, as it automatically compiles key information about researchers from the systems of universities, research institutes and funders, as well as from ORCID profiles. Research.fi and its related profiles are developed and maintained by CSC – IT Center for Science.
The so-called TENK CV template is a curriculum vitae model developed in collaboration by the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK), the Council of Rectors of Finnish Universities (UNIFI), the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (Arene), and the Research Council of Finland. Its first version was published in 2012. The CV template is part of TENK’s guidelines for responsible conduct of research and research integrity. The template instructs researchers to present their merits as comprehensively, truthfully, and comparably as possible. When preparing a CV, researchers should always follow the instructions provided by the organization requesting it.
